A not-to-be-missed annual Sunday afternoon treat!
20+ garden owners share their hidden gems. First-time visitors will be intrigued by the variety of garden styles & the plants used to create them. Return attendees will marvel at the evolution of repeat gardens. A bonus pleasure: numerous charming front gardens easily viewed while strolling the streets of the Walk.

ARCHITECTURAL TOURS: Starting at 1:30, 3:30 & 5 PM

Trained architecture and neighborhood aficionados will be your guides for this 1-hour tour. Beginning at Latin Middle School (North/Dearborn) and ending at RH (Goethe/Dearborn). Tours cover not only the architecture of the neighborhood, but also the history of the Gold Coast/NDA, sprinkled with local folklore and gossip!

For years, the NDA has spotlighted selections of its world-class gardens with professional musicians from around Chicago. Planted within the tour you will hear strings, flute, or even the gentle lines of an African mbira. The musicians provide a calming ambience to the already relaxing nature of the garden walk.

Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension will be on-hand to answer your gardening questions. Special-topic seminars will be held in select gardens/ patios.
