Join us on Sunday, July 21, 2019,
Noon – 5:00 p.m. for the 61st Annual
NDA Dearborn Garden Walk

GARDENS

The Garden Walk starts at The Latin School, 45 W. North Ave. This is a not-to-be-missed annual Sunday afternoon treat as 20+ garden owners share their hidden gems. First-time visitors will be intrigued by the variety of garden styles and the plants used to create them. Return attendees will marvel at the evolution of repeat gardens. A bonus pleasure: numerous charming front gardens easily viewed while strolling the streets of the neighborhood.

ARCHITECTURAL TOURS: Starting at 1:30, 3:30 & 5:00 p.m

Trained architecture and neighborhood aficionados will be your guides for this one-hour tour. Beginning at Latin Middle School (North Ave./Dearborn St.) and ending at RH (Goethe St./Dearborn St.). Tours cover not only the architecture of the neighborhood, but also the history of the Gold Coast/North Dearborn Association (NDA), sprinkled with local folklore and gossip!

LIVE MUSIC

For years, the NDA has spotlighted selections of its world-class gardens with professional musicians from around Chicago. Planted within the Garden Walk you will hear strings, flute and the gentle lines of an African mbira. The musicians provide a calming ambience to the already relaxing nature of the Walk.

MASTER GARDENERS & SEMINARS

Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension will be on-hand to answer your gardening questions. Special-topic seminars will be held in select gardens and patios. See Garden Walk Map for seminar topics and times.
